Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)
Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) is an industrial treatment process in order to remove all the liquid waste from the system. It produces clean water for reuse and solid wastes. Recycling and water reuse are now the most important priorities of environmental policies.
Evaporation and crystallization are the main technologies used in ZLD processes. Clean condensate is reused in the process and crystals are removed from system as by-product or solid waste. Minimization of energy and chemical consumption are the most important parameters in the design of ZLD processes.
Main processes that use ZLD Technology:
-
Acid Recovery (Hydrochloric Acid, Sulfuric Acid, Mixed Acid)
-
Rinse Water Recovery
-
Waste Water Recovery
-
Solvent Recovery
Diler Holding Sulphuric Acid Recovery System
Ferrous Sulfate Heptahydrate crystals obtained as by-product of sulfuric acid recovery process
